While the lil' ghost and goblins have been out trick-or-treating, I've been listing a couple new items on my new Rubylane site. I figured that I can't have all of my eggs in one basket so I decided to try another venue. So far I've been pretty successful considering I've had 15 sales and have only been "open" for a month and a half!

Here are a few new things listed:

Stay tuned for an update on how much money was raised by the Etsy Angels, including myself, for the Susan G. Komen Foundation. October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Halloween for the Fur Babies! Oh, and a Halloween Contest!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!! It's also time for another "leave a comment" contest....see the end of this post for details!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Who says you have to be a kid to take part in the Halloween festivities? Or should I emphasize you don't have to be a human kid :)
Fur Babies "like" to dress up too! Ok, so maybe they don't have much say in what they are going to dress up as, or dressing up to begin with!
I decided to utilize the ballerina outfit one more year before Chloe totally "grows" out of it. She was a pretty ballerina her first Halloween!!! I don't think she likes it much as she's always going in circles trying to catch the tulle skirt!
"Does this make my butt look big? Ok, hand it over. You promised me a T-R-E-A-T if I'd 'stay'."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Another fabulous Fur Baby playing along this Halloween is Ringer. Ringer is the beloved mascot of the Abandoned Wild Babies Animal Rescue in Lockport, Illinois. Ringer was rescued as a small kit when he was found after kids harassed him, leaving him permanently blind. Although he is blind, he manages to get around his home at AWBAR just fine! He loves giving "raccoon kisses", and is loved by everyone that knows him, or has ever "met" him through AWBAR. He is found of candy too....he loves Smarties! You can help AWBAR with any purchase from the AWBAR Etsy shop....lots of items await you including jewelry, jewelry supplies, knits, bath and body products, photos and prints, and lots and lots more!

Ringer is ready for Halloween! "Gimme some Smarties, pretty please!" Oh, how can you RESIST?

Leave a comment on this post, and tell me what your favorite sweet treat during the Fall Season is. This will get you entered in to win $10 to my Etsy Shop!! Hurry, drawing will be made on Halloween night, and the winner will be announced on November 1st!!

LArtisans - Louisiana Artisans on Etsy come together!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Well, as if I didn't have enough on my plate already...I joined another Etsy Team; LArtisans. I felt this one appropriate to be a part of since it's all about the Louisiana Artists. I'm a jewelry artisan, and I live in Louisiana!
Jessica of Accent Envy is the artist to give initial credit to for starting this fabulous team. She sent out messages to Louisiana based Etsy artists to see about creating a team for Louisiana Etsy Artists. LArtisans was born. A lot of Louisianians are to thank for the early success of the team, including, but not limited to: LisaRaspino, VivaLaViolette, GraciousCreations, Tu2Cute, and CheeseandChocolate (also known as WorkingtheStash).
As of October 12, we have about 140 members! WOW!!!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I have been appointed the Monroe Area Liaison. So, I get to coordinate local meetings and anything else that needs to happen in the Monroe area. On October 12, we held our first local meeting. Because we have members from Sterlington, Monroe, West Monroe, Ruston and Columbia, we tried to meet as centralized as possible. The Corner Coffee Cafe housed our first meeting! We plan on moving the meeting spot around to help accommodate members.

Those that attended the first meeting: Val of BabySewSweet, Marina of BayouPrincess, Monica of MonicaCrowe, Andy of ItAllComesinPhases, Lori of LYoungStudio, and me, Amanda of ChloeBoutique. Not bad...5 out of 9 Monroe Area members.

From left to right: Lori of LYoungStudio, Amanda of ChloeBoutique (Wildlifer78), Andy of ItComesInPhases, Monica of MonicaCrowe, Val of BabySewSweet, and Marina of BayouPrincess.

Our first meeting was a Meet & Greet style. We also brought along some items that are either our best sellers, or those that best represent our art. This was a lot of fun! I found a few things that will be must have buys :)

Our next Meeting will be sometime mid November, location and time TBA.

Below you will see a quick feature on each LArtisan that attended the meeting. Individual features will come later!
