Beads & Pearls...Beads & Pearls...

A typical splurge at "Bob's"...or Turquoise Coyote in Pontachoula, LA...

Located just north of New Orleans, Turquoise Coyote was originally known as a small antique shop. But Jewelry Artisans and Beaders alike know the real gems that lie in this tiny little nondescript building, situated in the historical district of the town!

While in Coastal Louisiana for Oil-Spill work, I made my way back through Pontachoula to pick up some supplies for upcoming events in which Chloe Boutique will be participating! First, Little Green Boutique (Monroe's only Eco-Friendly Boutique and Salon) will be hosting a "Fleur de Lis Jewelry Making Party" where guests will be able to create their own necklaces and/or bracelets using freshwater pearls, Swarovski crystals and a variety of Fleur de Lis charms!

Chloe Boutique will also be at the Holiday Home and Gift Show at the West Monroe Convention Center on October 9 and 10 and the Herbal Harvest and Craft Show at St. Patrick's Episcopal Church in West Monroe on October 23!

Pearls, pearls and more pearls! A girl can't have too many!
Oooh laaa laaaa gemstones!
Carnelian, Lava Rock, Black Onyx, Red Coral, Salmon Coral, Labradorite, Carnelian, Agate, Rutliated Quartz, Turquoise, Mouakite, Rhondonite, Leopardskin Jasper, Tiger Eye and more!

"Cocktails & Canvas"

What a fun night! I've never been to a "Cocktails & Canvas" event and have been wanting to go to one so when my friend Erin asked me to go I said YES!

It is what it is...you paint while drinking :)

I think we did pretty good for our FIRST painting (neither of us are painters and this was our first attempt). What do you think??

1) Erin and her palate of paint
2) Painting bright pink and lime green polka dots
3) Proud of her finished art!

1) With my palate of paint and empty canvas
2) My finished work of art!

The next "Cocktails & Canvas" event will be August 19th at 6:30! Let me know if you are interested in coming, you have to sign up and it's limited seating!

Networking & Mastermind Meeting!

A small group of "creative women" got together for dinner, drinks and networking at Bayou Bistro last night. The meeting/group was organized by Erin Love of Panache. Her goal for the group is to bring women entrepreneurs together to help spread inspiration, ideas and help each other reach personal and professional goals for a successful life!
Our first meeting allowed us to "meet and greet" by sharing information about what we do, what we enjoy, and what goals we would like to accomplish by the next meeting, set for August 18th.

~~Victoria is a Massage Therapist and is currently going to school to be an Esthetician. In her spare time she also represents Scentsy, a "wickless candle" company in which I originally discovered from a friend in Meridian, Idaho, where the company is based. I'm excited about having a local rep. to purchase from!
She likes to describe herself as a "Hippie" in that she enjoys natural beauty. She is interested in textural painting, and her most exciting adventure is Thai-Yoga...she's selling Scentsy to help pay for training in Thailand in February 2011!!

~~Lisa is a super busy girl! She's a Professional Photographer and Graphic Designer, and a SAHM to a 5 month old! She also just recently became a consultant for Premier Jewelry, a home-based jewelry sales company. What sets her apart from other Premier Jewelry consultants is that she likes to pair current jewelry in the catalog with outfits! She encourages guests to bring along outfits in which they need accessories to better help them pick out jewelry!
As a Graphic Designer, she is behind the scenes of a local cookie company's fund-raising brochures in which she personally designs!
She really loves designing party invitations, especially for baby showers and kid parties!
Lisa is also a professional photographer and does photo shoots for senior portraits, engagement/bridals/weddings, babies, pets, and anything in between! Visit her site at http://bettsdesign.com to see her work!

~~Olivia is a Hair and Make-Up Stylist at the Little Green Boutique (owned and operated by Erin Love of Panache). She has recently become interested in offering eye lash extension services and also airbrush make-up...something not currently offered in the Twin Cities (Monroe, West Monroe).
She is also very interested in home decor; black, white and swirls are what she likes right now!
Her current endeavor is to remove some old wallpaper in her house and do lots of painting!

~~Erin is a Certified Fashion and Image Consultant, Certified Wedding Coordinator, Professional Organizer, and the Founding Editor of Panache Magazine - http://www.panachebyerin.com/.
She also just opened Little Green Boutique & Salon, Monroe's ONLY Eco-Friendly Boutique & Salon! She offers an array of Eco-Friendly products such as vegan candles, organic Tees, handmade doggie Soaps, recycled cotton Doggie Tees, paintings by local artists, and handmade jewelry by, ME! In addition, she offers a nail salon which uses eco-friendly products, and also a hair salon (Olivia).
Erin would like to start doing tele-seminars where she will go live on radio and discuss various topics such as etiquette, organization, tips for success, etc...which will then be available for sale to the public!
You can also find Erin on these Blogs!

Stay tuned for next month's meeting "minutes"!

If you are interested in joining us for our next meeting, please contact me! It's really informal and casual, and a relaxed atmosphere...we just chat!! It's a fun way to bounce ideas around and get feedback for our personal and professional success! :)
