Fabulous Friday Finds - For the Cure Edition

October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month
and the Etsy Angels are doing their part!

Boobie the Cow - Ozark Nana

During the entire month of October the Etsy Angels will be raising funds for the Louisville affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the cure® and their "Race for a Cure"®. The Komen Louisville Race for the Cure® is a celebration to honor survivors and a time to remember those who have lost the battle with breast cancer. It is a safe, fun-filled event with music, food and opportunities to learn more about breast cancer.

Crochet Hat - Mama Jody

Monies raised for the Louisville chapter will go to help them with events such as the Race for the Cure® and the Pink Tie Ball. "The Louisville Affiliate has raised and granted millions to local breast health programs in our service area."

The Angels charity fundraiser starts on October 1st and runs through October 31. Please join us by shopping at the participating Etsy Angel stores listed below where a portion of our sales will be donated to the Louisville, Kentucky chapter. The bead has been wire-wrapped with 14kt. gold-filled wire and drops from a hammered brass circle. The pendant then hangs on antiqued bronze figure-8 chain. Necklace is finished with an antiqued bronze toggle clasp.

Pendant hangs approximately 5.5 cm. or 2 inches. Necklace length is approximately 16.5 inches.

Fabulous Friday Finds and Favorites!

Owls...they're everywhere right now! From jewelry and clothes to books and movies!

The latest movie to hit the Big Screen is the Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole; a movie based on three books (The Capture, The Journey, and The Rescue) of the series Guardians of Ga'Hoole by Kathryn Lasky.

We tend to think of words like "smart" or "late night partier" when we hear the word "Owl"...now we can think "fashion" as it's everywhere...!

Even Marc Jacobs has incorporated the "Owl" into his creations!
See Fashion Style Advice Blog!

Here are some of my favorite HANDMADE Owl-themed pieces!
