Would you lookie here!!! Baton Rouge and New Orleans received record snowfall on Dec. 11 (my birthday). Pretty disappointed that we up here in West Monroe didn't get a single SNOWFLAKE!!
Figured I would share some pictures with you since most of you would NEVER think in a MILLION years that the DEEP SOUTH could get this much snow!

This was just too bizarre when I saw it on the news!
Pretty!
So, how much snow is record snow there?
Pretty photos! I live in New Orleans & actually got to see it. I will post some photos on my blog too.
Amanda...unusual but so beautiful!
Amanda, we get much more snow here, but raining all day today...snow is coming behind it. For us it is commonplace, we have had enough winter already, but for those in the south, I am sure it is a welcome novelty and beautiful indeed.
Blessings~

Well, I'm from where it truly snows but living in the south this is something that is cool to see. We have sweltering heat in the summer so that's our extreme weather.
I know upstate New York gets much more snow, LOL!! I'm from West Virginia, about 1.5 hours south of Pittsburgh...I've seen feet of snow myself.
Beautiful pictures! We're getting snow in the Pacific Northwest which is unusual too but not as much as in New Orleans.
Oh, Amanda - I'm like you - I'd love to see some snow - we haven't had a good one year in at least 3 years. My soul is craving the stillness that it brings! =0) Awesome pictures!! =0)
That is incredible! I had no idea it snowed there. Should put everyone in the Christmas spirit... it looks very pretty!
Beautiful photo's Amanda and amazing that they are getting that much snow!
