New Moon...Coming Soon!

New Moon, the highly anticipated sequel to Twilight, will hit theaters as early as 12:01 am, Friday morning, November 20th!

I must admit to being late in joining this "bandwagon". But, doesn't the saying go something like this, "it's better late than never"??

Let me just tell you a little story. About a year and a half ago, or maybe even longer, my best friend, Jen, told me about this "Twilight Series" that kept her up half of the night reading! I just thought she was silly, as usual! I asked her what they were about, and she replied, "vampires". Ok. End of story for me. I wasn't interested in the least bit! For anyone who knows me, I'm a big scaredy cat! I don't like anything with violence, blood, gore, or anything that jumps out and tries to scare the audience. Just not for me! And, vampires equal blood. Right?

This past April, I went to visit Jen in sunny Florida; a place Edward would NEVER dare go. She "made" me watch the movie. Never having read the Saga, I thought the movie was quite ridiculous. Between Edward running like the speed of light through the forest, and stopping a van with only his hand, I wasn't sure how this movie was gonna go!

During the last few months, many people I had spoken to about the Saga and the movie thought I must have been on another planet for the past few years. "What? You've never read the Twilight Series?"

One day I was with my friend Erin at T.J. Max, moving towards the checkout line when I saw the series on the shelf. I thought, "what the heck, I'll give it a try". I couldn't be disappointed, could I?? After all, I've only heard RAVING reviews! Glad I did as I've been hooked, some might even say obsessed, ever since! I've re-watched the movie and have a better appreciation for it!

I just finished New Moon this past Sunday, and Eclipse should be on my front porch when I get home from work (ordered Sunday night from Amazon.com). I can barely stand the anticipation and excitement of New Moon coming out in theater!!!!
I actually tried to get tickets for the Midnight premier of the show, but all 5 showings were sold out here :( I then tried to purchase my tickets in advance for Friday night's showings...they were sold out too! So, I settled for tickets for the 4:15pm showing. It'll be dark when the movie is over!

Actually an early birthday present from two of my best friends, Jen and Erin, I received this lovely set in the mail today. Just in time for the movie!
Bella Turquoise Bracelet and Moonstone Ring Set

These gorgeous pieces were handcrafted by Connie of Illuminating Designs on Etsy.
She did a fantastic job capturing the "true" look of the turquoise bracelet and moonstone ring that Bella wears in the movie!

And, just today I snagged up a Treasury on Etsy...totally inspired by Twilight and New Moon!
Please check it out!

So, for all you Twilight fans out there, Enjoy the Movie! I know I will!

I came to the Twilight series late also (not as late as you though). :) Vampires really aren't my thing, but EVERYONE was talking about it, so I bought the first book.

I wasn't overly impressed with the movie, but totally loved the books.

Glad you listened to your friend, Amanda..I was exactly the same as you, but I read all of them last winter...I was totally hooked...and not usually my thing either. I was disappointed in the first movie, but I do like the characters selected so far.
Looking forward to New Moon, dunno if I will get out to see it as soon as you...so don't tell...lol

Okay, maybe I'm the last one left who hasn't read them - in the US at least since Mona hasn't either! I was going to start reading them when they were around here filming the first movie but didn't. I do plan on reading them but now I'll just make that sooner rather than later!
